GOOGLE IS NOT THE ANSWER.
Are we all lazy or what, someone asks a question and the #1 response is,
"Try Google" "did you search Google?" "Google Google Google "ever think that we do search google and come up with nothing but Crap?
I dont know about you but I rather enjoy getting insight from other designers and learn from other peoples experiences.
Sure you could search google for Unique envelopes but to find something that is TRULY remarkable, you would have to A) spend a week going to every result.
or
B) ask a group of Collective artists, designer, musicians, etc. what they my have come across. If i was to ask for some cool DVD cases for a project and someone said. Search Google. I Might never come across jewelboxing.com
so take some time and think before you hit that response button, someone out there might actually need your help.

It's disturbing to me that everyone gets all of their "information" from one diabolical source.

it's not just google.. it is the best search engine though..
it's the method you use to search for something. there are so many trix and treats to Google, i have even reada book about it (partly). You'll be amazed you can find far more if you learn how to use it well.
eg. you were looking for dvd-cases, well why not try different keywords related to the subject, like jewelcases or +jewel +cases +dvd or +dvd +box or "dvd jewelcases" notice the " " etc. etc.

I think yahoo search returns more relevant results.. http://search.yahoo.com
But you're right dude.. everyone knows how to use a search engine. .. they don't need to be told. Not really a very helpful response is it?

Jazx have a different google

"everyone knows" haha, do you actually meet 'real ' people? step out of your designergeek-bubble, kids! i have helped tons of people with advice like this and there's so much more. (note the: 'etc. etc.'). I can file your comment in the same folder as all the comments i have read about 'webdesigners' making complicated Flash that the average user cannot be bothered to figure out, and thus click away. which is sad. and unnescessary.

not to piss you off tho.
just my very own 2 cents.

Dutchie is the google wizard among NT.
thats the word of the street.

I agree Industry... bascially the people who put 'try google' haven't got anything better to say.
You're asking for an informed response, not a cue to fuck off to google. Amateurs!
- lilbabyarm0
I agree completely. "Google it!" is just a standard response by people who have no knowledge of their own about the topic but still love to hear themselves typing whilst aquiring a feeling of one uppance on you by intending to make you feel dumb for asking. those people are what I term as "pompous arrogant snobs"
