Neo-colonization - The modern means of colonization. The whole reason nations of the past desired colonies was so they could obtain the goods/services produced therein. (For example: England colonized India to obtain tea, and South America to obtain labor).
Today, Sudanese officials doing the same to their own people.

I agree with JazX
UN in my opinion is a waste of time. Its too political these days. It should have been a non-profit and no politicians involved.

I understand where Kona is coming from. But Jevad makes a good point. Celebs can become annoying at times. But not all of them are out there to do bad. Some use their status and money to help others. Danny is pretty cool when it comes to that.
Anyways the U.S. should have went to Sudan ages ago instead of Iraq.

The UN has always been political. That is the nature of intergovernmentalism. The intent and principles of the UN included co-operative prevention and resolution of conflicts. As an org. it is far more complicated than just the security council (which is the focus of attention in this situation)

These buggers do shit in Namibia: http://erc.unesco.org/cp/cp.asp?… same with their BS corrupt government. I worked contractually with UNESCO in collaboration with the Minisitry of Mines and Energy and it was a total fiasco.
Dumped ~500K into this small village area in the Northwest part of the country (Korixas) in a mining small community development project. None of it went to where it should have.
All I saw was a bunch French and Belgians living it up around poor indigenous Damara Namibians.
I wonder if Danny would be interested in that? He was big on Anti-Apartheid stuff and has played in movies giving a perspective from an African.
At least back when the Afrikaaners and English ran RSA. Even though they still do, with Mbeki as a puppet.
