depends on what you like ... rock, hiphop, techno, house, tits&ass, ...

Not sure about the clubs, but make sure you go to Schwatz's Deli on St Laurent for the best smoked meat sandwiches. I love their meat! no homo.

There is another awesome place in Montreal, Ruben's i think the name is. Amazing smoked meat and other food there.
If your gonna be there on the 5th and like house check:

go to ruben's & schwartz...both good...both different.
go to go go club...it's busy every night with hot hot chicks.
go to kama sutra and pay the extra 10 bucks to get the pimp table.
go to the ritz and treat yourself to a nice meal (i reccommend their daily special...always nice)
go to china town, buy a cheap watch and eat like a fool for cheap.
and, always have breakfast in montreal...find a little joint on any/every corner ... it's always cheap and almost every place gives you lots of fruit ... nothing like starting a bender with a full stomach.

St-Laurent Street Nightlife is good, you'll probably want to head there for bars/clubs.
as far as eating goes you're well off with what anyone suggests.
for shopping (if you've got a lady friend that likes to do that kinda stuff) St. Catherine street is good for that.
There is no #1 place you've got to go here, everyone has their own preference and theres lots of good places so I'm sure you'll find something suitable.
have a blast!

Montreal's great, you'll have fun no matter what you do. people are so freindly

Cora's is great for breakfast in Montreal. I was happy to find they just got one in my city, line ups every weekend.
but yeah I second that; the people in Montreal are v. friendly. Was there last year for the Montreal GP. GOOO Schumacher ;)

Please, do not go to Cora!! It's expensive and not good. If you want a REAL breakast, go to the 24/24 in the Mont-Royal.
Wherever you go in Mtl, you'll have fun. So much to do, so many hot girls...

Make sure you stop by the Old Port. Crescent street should be more busy then usual this weekend since the Indy is in town , although but the festivities aren't going to be as over the top as during the F1 weekend...
