noob question: making a godamn ring/circle? how?
i've always done this archaically by making a large cirlce and then making a smaller selection of a circle within than one and deleting that section, but that's not as precise as u can get.
when i make a selection and then use "border" and enter some pixels, the selection looks like some phucked up diamond or something as opposed to a circle, and when i fill it in with color it colors outside the godamn color lines. is this a bug in pshop 6?

vertical and horizontal guides. Snap to guide.
Alt-shift-drag.

With Select tool:
Hold down shift while dragging circle select tool. This will constrain your selection to a perfect circle.
After select circle go to Edit / Stroke. This will give you stroke options such as color and width.
Done.

there's also a "Layer Effect - Stroke" option.
the easiest is make a selection, using lasso, square, or circle tool. and Edit>Stroke

Are you looking to make concentric circles or just 1 circle?
