Shit. during my home moving from my shitty town to Amsterdam (NL) I lost some cd's. One of them was this oldschool classic : ALTERN8. Who still has this album at home? It was one of my sources of inspiration...

Now where did I put my Vix Vapo Rub???

yeah, but i think they are good... :) taste is subjective. And in my opinion these raving dudes never pushed it over the top... by commercialising it for a hitlist.
BTW Nice work rasko on your site...

thanks.. needs an update bigtime..

but you might have it, the cd? or you think they suck bigtime?
- rasko40
nah sorry, I think they suck bigtime heheh.
I'm sure you can get it on a p2p

doesn't matter :) it's good we're not all the same :) or else this world would have been very dull...
p2p didn't work really for me. I want to have it complete in good quality. Already been to the store to see if it was available, but they couldn't re-order it :( so. that's why i am here..

altern8 were true pioneers for the rave scene. anyone who knocks raves obviously never went to one in the late 80s in the south of england.

but geeque, Altern8 weren't about til the mid 90's, and they were on Top of the Pops.

Prodigy, Altern8, SLII, Metalheadz, Grooverider, Stanton Warriors, Plump Dj's... Who can still name more?
- rasko40
oh k, I thought they started in 90 as 'Nexus 21' and then changed along with their music style around 92-93

http://www.everythingstartswithe… is a good read

How exactly can you list SLII, Altern8 etc with the Metalheadz, Stanton Warriors and Plump Dj's??
- contra0
Can anyone here list a random selection of dance artists please. Thanks...

I am a very diverse person, incase of SLII, they used to have some nice underground remixes. I don't like their heavy rotation stuff. That's why I can list them there. In general, I know they don't belong there, as they are not performing since the early raves. And their mind is too commercial for me... But anyway SKT, sharp remark!

Stanton Warriors aren't rave!
Blimey, don't start spreading that rumour around...
