Quark 6 and printing

Hi. I just started using Quark 6 for OSX (gag) and am having serious printing problems. When I link an image (doesn't matter if its .eps or .tif or...) Quark prints out pages of garbage text.
Anyone have this problem? Any suggestions?

someone had the same thing the other day (unless it was you).. hunt down that thread, maybe there was an answer..

start using InDesign

does the same thing happen if you export to pdf before you print?

i use q6 on osx and never seen that before. are you using any type of rip software?

i know on campus there were issues with switching the encoding between ascii and binary when printing over the network... it would pprint out about 200 sheets of 2 lines of icons...
exporting to pdf or a ps file might help you...
