Can anyone suggest some books or websites that have good info on action scripting? I'm trying to learn some of the more indepth things you can do with it, so I am looking for information above and beyond the beginner level.

For Designers looking to learn a little more about code I'm gonna suggest starting with AS1.:
"Drag Slide Fade - AS for Designers" - Brandon Dawes (New Riders)
"Flash MX Studio" - Macdonald, Peters, and Yard (Friends of Ed)
"AS for Flash MX: The Definitive Guide" - Colin Moock (O'Reilly)
Also take a look at the New Masters of Flash series by Friends of Ed, they'll have a buncha solid examples.
G'luck.

flash MX 2004 for rich Internet Applications [Philip Kerman]was useful

Oh yea...
Used = Wonderful. Make sure they come with the CD.
For a little more advanced fun:
"OOP Programming with AcstionScript" - Brandon Hall (New Riders)
"Flash Math Creativity" - A buncha folks (Friends of Ed)
"Flash to the Core" - Joshua Davis (New Riders, HIGHLY recommended)
"Flash MX Game Design Demystified" - Jobe Makar (Macromedia Press)
The last one kinda trancends being a game design book...has lotsa useful math nonsense that can apply to any number of interfaces and doodads and such.
Ok back to work!
