Anyone using it? Any kop?

i'm using it and it rox. me likes it a lot. way better than shitty outlook and buttloads better than eudora.
doesn't have all the bangs and whistles but it does get the job done. easy to set up too.

I too love Thunderbird. It's the little things that make all the difference. Like the way it displays messages, filters junkmail, etc.

I've been using it full-time for quite a while now and can't imagine using anything else. I did a compare/contrast with Mail when I first got my Powerbook and it won. They're very similar, but less integration with the OS, obviously. It's great at handling multiple accounts.

it seems a lot like firefox. a great upgrade for a pc user, but a downgrade for mac users.

doesn't work for me (literally). the setup of accounts simply failed. do give it a shot though. less virii prone than outlook.

Can I set up rules easily using it? I've been looking for a new email app, only I have like 200 rules as to how to sort my incoming stuff, and no other app beats that.

Thunderbird will takes your rules from outlook.

Does it have all the features that Outlook has? Like contacts, Calendar, appointments, alarms etc etc..

Will it make me a hit with the ladies?

I think it's a pain in the a$$ to export the settings from Tbird on a clean install.
I tried the last vers 0.3, I think..has that improved?

my oulook .pst file is currently 780MB.. will Thunderbird be able to handle such a large file .. anyone got huge number of emails etc stored on it??
- ronaldo0
question.. just downloaded it
am I blind or does it not have a signature feature?
- PyroVesten0
I've been a user since version 0.2 I believe - back when I had my PC.
I haven't even used the default email client on my G5 as I installed Thunderbird as soon as I got it.
Great piece of software and the logo is almost as cool as Firefox's.

Pyro, is there a signature tool/option hiding somewhere?
- PyroVesten0
Yeah, I've never bothered with it though.
Go into 'Account Settings' and you'll see some crap about attaching a signature and creating vcards.
All you've gotta do is point it to something like a txt file or word document with your signature and it'll attach it. Just keep the sig doc somewhere in your thunderbird preferences. Keep in mind I've never bothered with this myself..
