That's probably one of the most historical moment in Olympic history...
... it was inevitable that the world would catch up...
... just like it's inevitable that the U.S. w/catch up in International Football (european).

wait isnt PR part of the us?

For one, the team representing the U.S in basketball is not a dream team. The 1992 Olympic team with Jordan, Bird, and Magic was the only dream team ever.
The current team is far from a "Dream Team." For instance, who the hell is Carlos Boozer. This guy is barely an all star.
This team doesn't even have any shooters or an actaul dominant center like SHAQ.
Todays game was only a first round lost. If any of you paid any attention today, the defending world champs(Serbia) lost as well.
Watch the games and you'll notice that the US player are still more athletic but lack the fondamentals that the other teams show. But the NBA is all about athletism and showman ship.
but whateva

i caught the first quarter on the plane - looked as though Odom was the only guy who wasn't shook to be playing in an olympic game.
interesting that they lost the game..

give um a break.
even the Harlem Globetrotters lose sometime...or do they?

If PR didnt have Carlos Arroyo (an NBA player), then today would have been a little different. Anyone who saw the game must agree with me, that guy was on fire.

The Globetrotters did lose once, but yes, if arroyo wasn't there PR would have been in some problems.

read, learn, grow the f*ck up.from link:
the three essentials for any successful international team
1. A pure point guard who can penetrate, create shots for teammates, make open threes and make good decisions in the open floor.
2. At least two pure shooters, ideally three.
3. Big guys who can bang down low, set picks, shoot threes and run the floor.... and trotted out 12 recognizable names, just so we could sell some jerseys and T-shirts.

The Puerto Ricans have not yet proven to be in the same class as the other top contenders in this Olympic field? If that is true, where does that leave Team USA?
