If you get a call based on your resume and then send in your portfolio and more info and don't get a call back do you think that your style isn't what they are looking for and forget about it or do you call them back to see if they got it and talk to them and try to set up an interview?

ALWAYS do a follow up call...if they request and don't ever get back I find that totally rude!

Never hurts to call and see if they received it. maybe the person who was supposed to call you to say either thanks-but-no-thanks or we'd like to talk to you is swamped or on vacation.

if you make jevad your friend, he'll "take care of them" for you.

it is rude... but, it happens all the time. you must follow up and follow up again to get a response many times.
keep at it, especially if you want in. all they can do is say no.

yes definately call them. what are you going to loose by doing that?

def. follow up. most of the time, people get busy with work and at looking/interviewing other people, so they just don't have the time to call back every person they see.
it also shows them you are interested, if you make the intitiative to contact them.
good luck!
