video capture trouble

Hi all.
Im trying to capture footage from my JVC mini-dv onto my computer using Premiere 6 (through firewire that is).
The program recognizes the camera, and I can scan through my footage and capture by pressing record and then stop.
But when I try to log my clips and then use the batch capture to get all the clips at once it says "time code could not be determined" or "trouble seeking in point".
Even though the timecode is clearly visible when im scanning the footage and logging my clips.
Any thoughts on what could be the issue ?
Cheers!

Anyone know any other software that would let you do batch captures like in premiere ?
Since premiere doesnt seem to like me that much...
