its taking alot of time to read about time, so by the time i find out about time, i'l have none left...how much does that suck?

I think it's hard to read because it's really self-referential (is that the right term?), convoluted and poetic, rather than a serious (effective?) attempt to communicate ideas.

Yes it is highly self-referential (i'll go with you on that one) convoluted and poetic. But it is also a serious (effective) attempt to communicate ideas. It's actually a classic politics work from the 1960s that is one of the main texts of this thing we now call post-modernism. Landmark work. I read it as a student and understood only like 20%. But i read it again afterwards and now i understand about 60-70%.

But would have been more effective if it was more accessible? You know, like they would write in the Economist...

Yeah. There's lots of guides and summaries and things for the work available. Just check amazon and google. There's so much written on it. Also it's a very academic piece designed purely for an academic audience. It's not meant for mass the masses, and you kinda need a degree in philosphy/politics to get it. But i know there's more accessible stuff out there which makes it clearer. Very very interesting i think so.

I thought more "load of gibberish" or "manifesto of quasi-facts that we are going to tell you without any real justification"...but then I guess I need to take a day off sometime and read the whole thing through to really make a judgement...
