Just got back to the UK from a long weekend in Copenhavn, wow, what a city. I loved it so much I want to go and live/work there for a year or two - maybe more.
Does anyone have any info on the design scene in Copenhagen? The movers? The shakers? Design Agencies who really excel?
Web links would be great.
thanx

I'm moving there in February. Can't wait to get out of Dubai. I'll email you information when I get some. I'm pretty sure there are some folk on NT from there who'll know the lowdown.

Thanks silencer. NT rarely fails to come through in times of need!

Dubai is ok. I've had a chance to to do some good work, and I've met some great people recently, but it's time to move somewhere with some real culture and history!

MX_OnD, the best way to see the city is by boat. Costs under £5 and you can hop on and off at numerous stops. You have to go to NyHanv, buy some beer from any kiosk but don't chuck any bottles away as you get money back for taking them back to be recycled and laze around and enjoy the very lovely views.
Hire a bike too. Go to Istedgade. Oh and get a basic phrase book. They all speak amazing english but its nice to make an effort and not feel completely british.

cheers londonBoy,
I'm going with my girlfriend who's from Copenhagen, but it's always good to hear what others have enjoyed too ;)
Definitely going to do the boat and bike thing (and the beer too)!
I've been actually having a go at learning some Danish here:

I know that most speak English, but it's always nice to understand roughly what is going on in the native language I think.....

Wicked resource MX, cheers. Now I have no excuse!

regarding English spoken in Copenhagen....
John Malkovich -
"Edinburgh is a cross between Copenhagen and Barcelona, except that in Copenhagen and Barcelona they speak more understandable English"
should be nae bother then ;)
