Good morning folks!
A quick question, doing a site that will need to be asily updated, any decent content management systems out there that are easy to use and dont cost an arm and a leg running on OS 9?
Ive never used em before so Im pretty much in the dark here. Any help much appreciated!

any cms runs on the webserver not your computer. unless you have an os 9 webserver. in that case forget it since os 9 can't run mysql and php for instance.

Cheers for the responses. I know bugger all about php etc, I just need seomthing to change links, text and images from a template.
Im designing and building teh site but going to hand it over to the client so they have to update it. Its new territory for me and im not a programmer so I thought a CMS would offer an easy solution.

cms's aren't that easy to build. there are a lot of prefab cms scripts but you still have to customize it for your client needs. which basically means you have to be able to code, in most cases xml, php and mysql (if you decide to work with a database). you can also work without a database and have the script edit server resident text files and/or upload images, textfiles to the server. again you need quite some knowledge about coding (especially if you're going to make it foolproof which is quite necessary). if you choose to do it you should charge the client though for the extra work, it's gonna cost more initially but in the long run it's way cheaper than going to the designer everytime in order to change the content.

I've only done this on our intranet and it was a lot of work to simply allow text updates... When it comes to uploading / resising images, dynamically adding correct links etc... it gets mind bending.
I think you will find that an off the shelf option will not do what you need... as the needs are different each time.
