Watched Mad Max Furiosa on Monday then rewatched Fury Road again yesterday. That Soderbergh quote below is so true. It's a cinematic masterpiece. It's like a whole comic book universe perfectly reproduced as a film. Saying that, the first time I watched Fury Road at the cinema i fell asleep after 20 minutes and woke up at the end credits. I was drunk and thought the cinema was a great idea.

I watched MMFR in the theaters when it came out and thought it was a pile of steaming shit. I tried again recently, thinking maybe I came in to it with a closed mindset. I tried watching it again and yup, only got through 15 minutes before I decided it's a steaming pile of dog shit. I dont know why this movie is so highly regarded.

Gonna go back in on Furiosa again when my wife is away. I really hope we get more from the Mad Max franchise before George Miller dies – Alien and MM are my fave movie franchises by a long shot.
My only critique with Fury Road was that it wasn't Aussie enough – the rough bogan accents just nudge it into enough of a non-hollywood context. Love them Aussies.
- Just watched Furiosa for the first time this weekend and then re-watched it! so effing good.sarahfailin
- Also just caught Furiosa for the first time a few days ago. Kickass.Ramanisky2
- I found it hard to sit through. Definitely the worst of the franchise for me.lemmy_k
