I know this has been posted many times before, but I can't find the older posts.
I've been playing around in After Effects and I rendered out a 55 MB Mov video with dimensions of 360 x 288.
It's a short 30 sec. clip and I'd really like to compress it so that I can show it online. I tried Cleaner 6 and Quicktime to export the movie but I loose way to much quality.
Does anyone know what's the best way to do this? I see all these nice and small movies online and I wonder how to get these results. Thanks in advance!

Use sorenson 3 codec to compress.

yes, I used that when I rendered the movie out of After Effects. But I was expecting it be be smaller.

Sorenson Squeeze. USE IT.

Its a stand alone application, well worth it.

cool, thanks!

I'll second the Squeeze. It's cheap (relatively) and does a very good job quickly.

Render out of AE, an animation codec (uncompressed) movie. Then import into Flash MX. Publish. Most people have the newest Flash Player installed, so you can avoid plug-in woas.
