Clearly borrowed, but I don't think in too bad a way. It's just a navigation device, the whole site looks and feels quite different.
Not the worst portfolio I've ever seen either.
We all borrow navigation devices (scrollbars?), just because he borrowed something a bit more proprietary doesn't mean its all bad. I don't mind it. Its an honest borrow, he's not trying to fool anyone.

its finding inspiration from people you admire.
he could have differentiated himself a little more, but give the guy a break.

i "borrow" all the time, but i don't just slap it up there...i change it somehow, as significantly as i possibly can.
