Would it be hard to generate let's say $1k per month?
Is anyone here consistently generating money through Ebay? Would you recommend it?

Maybe if you owned a warehouse and traveled to lucrative estate sales all week long.

i have known a few people who sold their everquest characters on ebay for like $800-$1200 each.... who the fuck would buy a video game character for that much?
- jpea0
geeks with money man:-)

while i can't speak from experience, i do know that it's possible to generate significant revenue from ebay. smarter sellers find distributors to handle the shipping of their products. they simply act as a middle man and set up the sale. somewhat of an amazon.com approach. this can be done with movies, music, games etc. i even heard of one person who sold 'wire' of all things and made six figures (per month!). it all boils down to your dedication and in the world of ebay, feedback.

buddy you're about 6 years too late.

i was selling diablo chars and items back in 2000 on ebay and it was mad, hundreds of people were doing it , some of my mates online ad proper websites with e commerce setup, i sold the second best barbarian sword on christmas eve for 1280 $ .. and a few lances for 180 / 150 $
many people are doing lots of extra cash through ebay : collectors, gamers, real estate hunters , car and bike mechanics ; booksellers, etc etci was amazed when i catually saw my mum buying some stuff on ebay

my brother's friend sold flat big screen japanese TVs on EBay for huge profits. he acquired them... through a friend. and then sold them for a lot of money since they were not available in Canada/States for a while.

it's just the new car boot sale. people will buy almost anything these days and you can get rid of it on ebay. I'm moving house and making a list of stuff i don't need just to sell on ebay.

I have a friend who started a ebay broker biz - you give them the stuff you want to sell and he takes pics, posts it, and when it sells he ships it then takes a cut. needless to say he is doing very well.

My friend has a wife that is unemployed. She buys broken glass on Ebay, breaks it into smaller pieces, sticks it in a little tumbler machine to smooth them, then RESELLS them for more money. Not getting rich, but making nice pocket $$$.

I usually make about $200 a month on ebay.... I haven't been this summer because I haven't had the time to search out goods to sell. I usually buy/sell a lot of vinyl, magazines, and other random stuff....

Broken glass pocho?

The only person I know making mad skrill on eBay is selling "illegeally acquired" items... He's making a killing! Crime does pay! Until you get caught, but I think he's been doin it for about 3-4 years now...

I think Mitsu is closer to what I was thinking: becoming the middle man.
I'll do some serious research and jump on it, I could use some extra dinero.
Thanks for the responses!

it always makes me wonder how much stuff on ebay is stolen... i say at least half.

My friend sells indie music and bootlegs on ebay, half, and amazon and pulled in $46,000.00 last year. No lie.
I purchase cheap techy things when they go on sale (CD burners, memory, ipods, computer speakers) and sell them on ebay-
I make about 500.00 extra a month.
- MLPROJECT0
that's pretty impressive. i've thought about doing stuff on rebates, etc, but didn't think that i would get my money back on them... is your success rate pretty good puter?
- mg330
sorry pocho, but that bit about "buying broken glass" about made me loose my mind.
