that blows. he's my favorite photographer hands down. saw a monster exhibit of his photos and designs in italy forver ago, it was nuts.

anyway.. he chronicled the20th century in the most amazing beautiful striking way. From moments of history to everyday life. Definite true master.Deserves nothing but respect.

With all the photo-shopping and digital manipulation and digital camera etc... i dont think we'll ever see photography like his again. Must have had incredible patience to capture some of his shots. And never using a flash or cropping his images? fuck...

what I loved about his work was it's simplicity throughout. Black and White, and refused to use a "flash" - and shot exclusively on a Leica ..
