Are fat comedians funnier?
I have a theory that we are more inclined to laugh at 'fat' comedians than their slim cousins.
On the basis that we are generally less threatened by the heavier person and therefore laughter is much more achievable.

or it could be that fat people more often tries to compensate the fact that they're fat by being funny.

I knew this guy once, a friend of a friend, who was a chubby plumber with chubby little plumbers fingers and a chubby little plumbers face.
Our mutual friend told him regularly he was only funny because he was fat. Poor little chubby plumber.

Would it be a special treadmill that feeds them doughnuts? Need to keep them fat or it wont be funny...

genreally i dont think fat people are great comedically - as in standup or in wit. Skinny, or average are more prolific (Chris Rock, Steve Martin etc..). However, as a spectacle fat people are perceived funnier.
For example a fat person falling over, a fat person being hit by a custard pie, a fat person running - is generally perceived funnier than say a skinny person falling over, or being hit by a pie, or running.
Because fat people look fucking ridiculous!
