supposed to do some ad to show some phone service for the olympic games... sent back and forth like ten over drafts and received a barrage of changes every night.now they wanna fark up the whole thing by telling me i'm not supposed to use the word 'olympics' cos it's patented.

tell them they'll probably get sued anyway... apparently even people who turn up at any of the events.. in a big nike t-shirt or whoever is not one of key sponsors will be chucked out!
that goes for taking in a drink that may be branded by someone else... also... you can only book tickets with visa and not mastercard due to sponsorship terms.

'Patented'? Can a word be patented, I think you mean copyrighted, but nonetheless, clients are generally mislead and have no concept of design. Don't worry, sit back and breath, it's natural. :)

That's b.s. A 5 or 6 years ago a company who was hired to be the carriers of all the big stuff wanted an add to use. They had me dump the word Olympics and even the logo on it. It ran in magazines, the paper, and a flash ad on their site. Knowone ever said anything.
