silly north american me likes to play region 3 dvds on my powerbook. unfortunately i can only change the region one more time. there's gotta be a program or hack or somethin that lets me play any region dvd. help, please.

i tried this a while back and it fucked up the region stuff on my old computer
doesnt it also mean your warranty is void if u change it also ?

I dont know about the warranty..
but my friend is been using his for a while now, and he loves it..
you can change it unlimited times..
thats all..

It's not as simple as you think (and yes, it does void your warrenty), as different Mac models carries different manufacturer's drive and firmware, and not all firmware patches have been written for them all... learn everything you need to know here:

Try VLC, it's a free media player - it plays DVD, divX, heaps of stuff and it's free. It plays any discs from any region. Just do a search on macupdate
