is it me... or does this crap have to stop?
If it wasn't for Vh1 and Diesel - we may be progressing w/design - but nooooooo... let's just keep on the rehash.
sorry... i'm so sick of this 80's crap. It just feels like a giant step back. I love 'stepping back' to the simplicity of minimalism / the old NY style or the classic clean swiss / euro style. That stuff is timeless and beautiful (bless you Joseph Mueller Brockman)...
... but rehashing junk that was a passing phase of Ronald Reagan and Michael J. Fox just needs to STOP. If you borrow from that era for a reason - great! But get off the pop-culture bandwagon.

if what you're saying is true, pcas - I suppose 'growing up' is synonomous w/'selling out'.

Ah, people it's just some graphics for an art magazine. If you don't like it, then you're probably not the audience for it. On the other hand, you're discussing it, so I'd say it's pretty successful.

abizzyman, every subtle nuance you communicate to people in life is a part of demographics.
i assume you don't speak to your mother about the same subjects in the same manner as you speak to a graphic designer. the meaning of life is communication.
here you are thinking you're such an individual, when in fact you're just as much a robot as any of us. the difference is, you are so self-righteous you want to enforce the same style onto Everyone.

... no need to go on the attack when I'm just stating my opinion about something I think is designed poorly.
when I listed a few 'styles' in one of my previous threads - I was commenting on how a 'style' could be used in a timeless fashion -- I was not stating everything must be classic euro/swiss. Furthermore - my comments were about how poor 'team rad' was produced.
jeez. anybody else feel that I'm enforcing my self-righteous ways on you? if so - i'm sorry.
