illustrator to flash

how do I import a illustrator file to flash and still remain the same good quality? It just aint working for me :(

if you export your drawing as an SWF and then re-import that into flash, that usually gives pretty good results.
I tend to do that, when for some reason things start going pear shaped for some unknown reason.

thanks mt T..I tried that..did not come out too good either...
it seems like there is some effects in illustrator that flash dont support...So I had to go back to AI and simplifi the illustration...still dont turn up perfect in Flash, but good enough.

actually, just open up whatever Illy file you have, copy it whatever it is Control+C and then Control+V in Flash. Generally, it will create a grouping of whatever you have but you can even change the colors, etc in Flash. Also a good trick for crispy fonts in Flash. ;)

Tiresome as it may be, I like to copy and paste individual components directly from Illustrator into Flash and rearrange them in my .fla.
Since they're all vector, they usually resize well too.

I've had lots of problems in this area as well. The only real fix I'Ve found is Freehand. If you use Freehand I've even noticed that the animations dont lag as much if you are using graphics with lots of vectors. And they import much cleaner.

yeah I hear that too about Freehand, import your .eps into that right?

shit Nac and I had a nightmare importing vectors with lots of points through Illy. We spent about 30 hours redoing all of them in Freehand...after a good 30 hours of doing them in Illy the first time.
I think that Illy and Freehand use entirely different vector algorithm's (sp?). Quadratic vs Cube?? If I remeber right. So flash digs the Freehand algorithms better. Don't quote me, this is just what we peiced together after tireless hours trying to figure out why everything was running like crap.
