i'm colin. i am a senior gd major at scad. am i the only one who thinks (at least the first three years) were totally worthless? don't get me wrong, education anywhere is better than no education, but hardly a banner school.

SCAD is pretty self motivated, but it has been perfect for me. I have a nice portfolio, working knowledge of the field, and confidence leaving. What else could I have asked for.
Sure, 85% of the students blow, but from talking to people in the field, 85% of Ringling, SVA, RISD, etc blow as well.
So, no, I loved it.

Edward Tufte, the God of Infographics, is doing a workshop in ATL Feb 28th. I would like to get a group of kids together to go.
Boylston will probabley be meeting us there.

Awesome. How big is this "truck"? So far Mike Brenner, my roommate Jeff Omiecinski, you and I are in but I think it would be fun to have a bunch of us go.

well you only get out of it what you put into it. that goes for any school, anywhere.
i'm not terribly impressed by scad (mainly the policies and $$) but most professors are decent. the thing is, they expect you to give them crap, its up to you give them something more and show that you actually care about your work.
i keep hearing its well respected school... we'll see in June after graduation...
