true Mimio...
I guess I was trying to explain that it's not mutilation, it's preference.
Like shaving your balls.

Soler. it was a joke. sorry if i offended
I have friends that are heavily into piercing. I have seen images some of the more extreme end of body modification that make a standard circumcision look like a paper cut. I'm just a chicken when it comes to cutting bits off myself

I'm sure an adult would only do it for medical reasons.

but who's preference?

what's a saline injection do?
- Soler0
Tim525: the parent's preference.
Am I missing the huge backlash from the "Sons Who Reject their Circumcision Alliance" Class action lawsuit?

My son is. The doctors told us the cleanleness issue is a myth. The only reason its done is out of tradition. My wife and I had a long debate about it. In the end the only thing that made us do it was him looking weird in the locker room. I don't know if it was the right thing or not. probably just add it to the list of all the things hes going to hate us for when hes a teenager.

soler
no. i just think that it should be left to the individual to decide.

By the time they're old enough to decide it's major surgery and it doesn't work as wekll as growing into it.
- tim5250
My son isn't. He was born 16 weeks early. Soon after being born he had surgery to remove a murmur. Then, about 2 months later he had more surgery. My wife and I thought enough was enough! If he wants to be clipped later he can make that decision himself.

Thats a special case, I'm glad your son is doing well now.
But, I don't think a grown person capable of making the decision would do it to themselves late in life. Maybe I'm wrong. But I've never heard of it and it seems a little weird

If this thread was called "dick cuttin' " would it get more or less of a response?

tim525--
Ill tell my son not to make fun of yours in gym class.
- tim5250
so why is it funny? or why should it be normal to cut it? you are born with it right? so why isn't it normal?

-----------------------------the dude I know that runs a piercing place says that most people get a 'prince albert' because thay have had the 'snip' and want a little more sensetivity, if you know what I mean.
- theplanet0
I was joking. You were probably right not to do that to your son after he had gone through what he had. As stated in my earlier post its a decision I based solely on the social implications "being the same as everyone else" most males in the US are, however I think in Europe and I know So. America they are not. I don't think its that big of a deal and maybe in a few generations it will be looked back on as mutilation.

cool.

i was made fun of in the gym locker room for having a small pee pee. so when i got older i started injecting it with steroids. now it's like a louisville slugger in my pants.
