Cost for New Logo

I've been asked how much i would want to design 3 rough versions for a logo on behalf of a printers for one of their clients - a small cleaning company. I don't usually do freelance work like this - What would people usually charge for this? what would you charge for this? Hourly rate?

I cant imagine a 'small cleaning company' be willing to spend (or have) much on this project put it that way, say 150 for the 3 visuals and maybe the same again to develop the chosen one. see what they say..

Sounds pretty low ball. One thing to consider is that the client is going to be a pain in the ass and ask for a bunch of BS and waste your time... Don't they all do that?.... So set a price that'd make it worthwhile. If you don't normally do freelance then you obviously don't need to take every project that comes your way. May as well aim high and see what happens.
