lots of smaller museums around surry hills/crown street.
i really enjoyed the powerhouse museum when i was there, not really art tho

umm well i aint cool but my friend is and she hangs out at the clare on broadway (across from UTS in the southern end of the city) the cricketers in surry hills on fitzroy st, plus death disco on a saturday night at the blue room on oxford street
as for me i like the library and my office - you can find me there most nights until 4am pretending to design

i'm not going to digit. I think all the design related to it looks shite, especially that site.

There's supposed to be over 3000 going (similar numbers to last year) - so where they all coming from? Students?

semi perm had 3000 people there at least half were students, I reckon.
I read somewhere, that there was approx. 2500 designers in sydney and in the next 2-3 years there will be 2500 design graduates from sydney alone.

There was only about 600 max turnout last year. And if David Carson turns up well they must be paying him a nice sum.
I spoke last year at the expo and I was even pretty disappointed with Digit.

Email from the organisers...
The DIGIT team would like to announce they have good news and not so good news!
The not so good news is that we have received an email from David Carson this morning letting us know that he did not get on his flight from the USA on Sunday as planned. He is hoping and has been booked to get on a flight this Thursday to be ready to present on Saturday. This means we have had to re-schedule David's presentation with Richard Hogg's. Richard will now be speaking on Friday 13th August at 2pm and David will be speaking on Saturday 14th August 2004 at 4pm.

fuck. I just bought a ticket to see Carson on Friday. I'd give up a work day to see him but Im not giving up a weekend day, sorry David
