Ok everyone has one. Our's is a pain. Oh the nav always has to be on the left now! Can we have that font a little bigger?

intersting bout the whole 'nav on the left' thing
doesnt it really make more sense to have it on the right, since thats where scroll bars for a window are ?

I have a client who asked me to "draw a line with an arrow that points to the PLAY button" in the component of a Flash-delivered video, so people will know where they need to click in order to start the movie. My response: "Um . . . are you being serious, or just messing with me?"

the best i ever had.
me: after speaking with them over the phone and explaining what my concept would have been, a very lovely use of white and some red/gray text.
"our corporate color is red, can you make the whole site different shades of red with white text?"
me: um, i don't advi... sure, whatever you'd like (i actually did the home page the way they wanted it just to mind fuck them.)
(2 days later and 10 minutes after posting the revision)
"um.... we can't read the text, theeeeeeee site is REALLY loud and hurts our eyes. this is horrible. can we do something else?"
me: i was just designing it as you requested, which as i recal was the opposite of what i wanted to do. i even told you this wouldn't work but you insisted. i can go back and rework it if you'd like.
"YES, PLEASE"
me: you do know i'm charing by the hour....

"ok, but what about the people who don't have a back button"

Just say, why arent all books published in audio with a brail accompanyment, this way everyone can access it... (written type is redundent because we can HEAR it) then give them a slap and tell them to stop being so pedantic... Jacob's findings reflect late 90's web design - the medium is evolving and so is a users requirements/abilities!

It's kinda funny how Jakob's site is one of the most ugly looking sites there is. Sure it's great for partially sighted people navigating it, but what about us that CAN see what it looks like. That should be a usability vialation in itself!

Oh, where do I start.
"Yeah, yeah, your an accountant Im a designer, sure I'll make the text 60 fricken points. You give me 20K in my next tax return jerk off."

"I can see only a small part of the logo on my screen", the client said on the phone.
After a short visit, I saw he was working on 640x480 resolution... SHIT!!
