liquid, i would try some different designs that don't touch on subjects that could be miscontrued.
ex: the fire thing, besides representing Hell, could also be read as an elitist thing. "we've got the fire, you don't" or "you're going to burn but we won't" sorta thing, though I'm sure that's not what's intended. Anything like that becomes brimstone-y if there's a scriptural reference on it.
Since it's a youth crowd, going to the other side of the spectrum (sunshine, rainbows, happy-joy-joy Christianity) doesn't work either. Try finding something that doesn't envoke "good vs. evil" thoughts.
As for names...that's a toughie. I liked "deluge" a bit, but I'm not sure if it works for the name of a group. Good luck! I'm rootin' for you.

damn Ekhard.... some of the best artists in the world were/are christians.

ok well I have a bunch of critiques and they are a basically empty...
are you all making fun more of the christian aspect or the design? Granted looking at it again it looks like south parky so I will give that to you.
I am not getting paid for this and I am coming up with names based on different concepts.
So far no one has really come up with any good ideas all you have are negative comments or jokes.
ok font...ok flames... fine... will toss and come up with another idea.... any suggestions...
to ekard... general rule... yeah okay so then how do I change that.
You can't do that techy 2a stuff and you have to make sure the message gets across... so any suggestions from the peanut gallery?

i was talking about what they wear... whats up with the white robes n'shit??

just make a collage with all of God's bestest creations.

ewo - wired365 is next up....
I was thinking a circuit board type thing....
deluge would be considered good v. evil only because in the dictionary one of the meanings is destruction by a great flood noah which the world was destroyed because of evil...
I agree...sunshine dont work... but the fire and brimstone isnt what I was going for... it was about the fire of god... the we got it and you dont... .... its not elitism its called we want other people to understand it....

Why do you need to get a point accross with a t-shirt? I think the cleverest and nicest shirts are more ambiguous.
Start with solidifying the name of the club. Then create a nice wordmark/logo, you could even get away with doing a nice crest for something like this. You'd be more apt to get peoples attention if it was something subtle and tasteful. Regardless of what I'm selling/promoting I'd rather not scream it at the world. Do you know what I'm getting at?

the "hellfire" comments, while in jest, contain an element of seriousness, namely that many people associate flames with fundamentalist warnings of hell, apocalypse, rapture, etc

more specifically
http://www.churchartworks.com/ga…so I dont know what your talking about.... yeah there is cheesy design...and by all means it is everywhere...its not the rul that christians are bad with style...
- ewo0

i understand it.

liquid look around at some other shirts... http://www.threadless.com has some fresh ideas.
not that the shirts will work for what youre doing... but it can give you some inspiration for color schemes, layouts, and fresh styles.
