got this error, on trying to open Microsoft Word on an old pink first gen. imac... (my sister's, I'm no ghey as Carver might say)
"visual basic editor could not be loaded – there may not be enough free memory to load the libraries or files may have been deleted or removed from the original location"
she had no other applications open and hadn't installed anything weird lately either.
anyone know why this error might appear? I realise she may have to re-install, but just want to know the reason for it.
much appreciated,
ta

May depend on the version of Word and the OS (9/X), but check out:

did you try trashing any preferences relating to word or office and restarting (i'm presuming you're in os9 on that machine)

thanks guys, just copied a bit of that help page on microsoft site into an email – have to wait to see if it works 'cos my sister's in OZ and they're sleeping just now ;)
nice one Rasko, good plan but because my sis aint exactly too savvy with computers, it might be a bit of an ask for her to sift through the preferences and work out which relate to word.
how'd your tee get on?
