my interview went pretty good. he liked my book, the feel was casual, although i was probably too nervous and chattersome. they are going to figure out how scheduling can work, as its sorta part time and i'm still taking classes. but YAY i hope, he's gonna call me friday. thanks to all for the advice. oh yeah, should i follow up with...something, a letter?

sure a thank you letter cannot hurt, send as an Email

Yeah I always sent a letter, but then I actually had one interview that went really well but I knew that the distance from the company to home was going to be a big factor, so I called them the next day and said (after thanking them for their time) 'I also wanted to let you know that if you had any questions please feel free to ask'...and he asked about the distance from work. So I was then able to clarify that I was planning on moving closer.
Who knows, I got pretty close to getting that job. Turned out it ended up being between my 'no design schooling self' vs a 4 year grad with 2 years corp experience. They went with him in the end but I'm sure I beat out some really qualified people. I talked to the interviewer after and he said that he was very impressed that I had actually called instead of sending the standard letter. So if you are going to write a letter...make sure it is highly personalized and pertaining to that job/company in particular.

send them a nice personal thank you email. not too persoanal but thank them for their time and effort and the free coffee and water and stuff. haha.
