Not me personally..but I would avoid inviting anyone who has had anything to do with either the bride or the groom in the past..but that I mean, slept with.
The last thing you want is drunken people discussing the sexual exploits of the bridal party.

I just got hitched a month ago. It was great but we did it in a rather non-traditional way. We were married on a mountain top. Our 2 best friends (a married couple) were there. He officiated and she acted as witness and photographer. We had to literally pull a hiker off of the trail to be our 2nd witness. It was incredible. Then last weekend we through a big party for family and friends.
best of luck!!!

have a good time, enjoy the first day with your wife, and stay one or two steps on this side of sober.
congratulations and good luck to you and your lady. all the best.

I always thought that if I were to get married, it would have to be in Vegas. You know, playback singing slightly drunken Elvis impersonator, pink cadillac convertible, plastic flamingos and all..

it's my first anniversary next monday, and it really was the best day of my life.
my advice is this - relax and try and take it all in. enjoy it all, and don't get too drunk. i had one beer before the cermony and one beer before my speech. only after all my responsibilities were taken care off did i start drinking properly, but even then i took it easy, and i'm sooo glad i did. i remember everything about the day, and it was the best.
relax and good luck!!!

my advice to anyone is wait until you're at least 30 to tie that knot.
- gruntt0
JazX - that's great advice. The not get drunk at your reception is a good rule as well. Also, live together before getting married. You never truly know someone until you live with them.

I got married in Cabo San Lucas with about 20 close friends and family. We spent a whole week surfing, golfing, tequila testing and hanging out. Everyone was rested and tanned by the end of the week when we got married.
We said,"I do" with the sun setting over the Sea of Cortez.
It was awesome! That was 5 years ago, and I'm still just as in love now as I was on that warm June evening.Good Luck and Congrats.

I am 32 and just got married on the beach in Cozumel, Mexico two weeks ago, for the first time. I was engaged for 4.5 years, and am confident I made the right choice. I think a long engagement is wise, seeing as it seems many marriages seem to last 2 years and are over. Enjoy the day, and congratulations.

my wedding photos and story. I just had to share them :)

Wow guys thanks for the response - some good advice there - dont drink much and enjoy the day, I think thats about all I need. Hopefully I wont be too nervous. We've been engaged for 10 months, but living together for three years and going out for 10, so we're pretty secure I think. You guys had some exotic weddings though - very cool indeed. Thanks again.

At our reception after the ceremony, my mother in law over-spiked the punch with vodka and everclear and my dumb-ass buddies got into it. The band had technical difficulties and the air conditioning went out (A July 6 wedding) It wasn't long and there was a fistfight and my brother in law got a cigarette put out on his eyelid. My wife and I hopped in the car and started our honeymoon early, leaving my brother to clean up the mess. That was 8 years ago and we're still happily together....

The marriage is great, the day was just... odd. It was worse for the others. If we had to do it over again, we'd elope to Vegas, Baby!

been married 5 years now. Just went to Maldives on holiday and was surrounded by newly weds. They all thought we were on honeymoon too. When they found out we were not they were really surprised.
It made me happy that we still look and act like we just got married.
Remember that in 5 years time.
It's not easy...gl on your day matey.
