Ok..some of you are aware of my obsession with finding a vintage car. I was in love with a 64 Fairlane but the engine is shot. However, I found a 66 Ford Galaxie that seems to be in great shape. Anyone have any experience with such a beast?
Now Im in love with that car. :)

i sold it two years ago. needed cash for an engagement ring. i'm afraid lifts in that car would have killed it. but one day, that 62 ragtop i dream of will be mine...

My friend just got a 65 Galaxie, he wanted a 64, but found this one for 3k and it has 80k original miles. Fricking mazing shape too. I love going cruising in it. This winter he's customizing it doing it like two tone silver and a darker nimbus grey kinda silver. (he's a professional custom painter by day) Right now its the original maroon, four doors.... good stuff.

atomica, that car is beautiful. The one I'm looking at is a 4 door hardtop too. Creme/yellow color.
It looks like its in great shape. All original...but is it crazy to buy a car from one of those cheesy little car lots?

yeah there are plenty of old hotrods and things on the road. those sideshows they have in almost every major city are pretty extensive, you can still buy a REAL car.

Well...I just found a 61 Falcon (94,180 mi, Blue, Automatic, 2 WD, 6 Cyl. reupholstered seats, needs a little work.)
...but I also found a 79 el camino..all in my price range so I'm beside myself! woohoo.
