  i need to remember how to create a new brush out off any image or part of it.

  i use to know how to do it in photoshop 5 but looks like i forget abou it...

  i am using photoshop 7

  Is it not exactly the same? in PS7, you have to select your document, print it off then cut out the area you want, scan it at the size you require - after this, you can copySelect an area of the resultant scan, go to 'Edit/Define Brush' et voila! A pickled haddock.
