i use 2 unfiltered black lights (not the purple kind). They work great. Of course you have to build some kind of box to house them in, but I build the whole exposure unit for around $60. Grab a book called "How to Screen Print T-Shirts For Fun and Profit" All the plans you need are in there. Also, by the afford-a-flash cure unit to cure the inks. One of those is around $385.

hey schedule (and others) can I see a picture of your printing setup... and some work on shirts?!
I have to look for that book - for sure!
Thanx!

really you can just use waterbased inks anyway....even if it is light on dark - just gotta add layers of ink.

I wouldn't recommend using waterbased on dark colored shirts. the problem with adding layers upon layers of ink is that sometimes the impression will bleed, smudge or slip and also the impression will bleed to the inside of the shirt and whatever surface is underneath the shirt.
