I only seem to be able to use six colours...
which isn't 'unlimited' is it..?
what am I doing wrong..?
where is this palette of which they speak..?

Click info, click on the color rectangle to the right of the Calendar name, choose Custom...you get the Apple Color Picker

select a calendar. then at the bottom right of ical u see an info button, hit that so the draw opens. in that draw u will see the title of the calendar and a colour next to it. click the colour an go to custom in its menu an thats it, enjoy, black works nice!
