PC @ Work, PC @ Home
...I used to have this sweet lookin PowerBook G4...then it made a life decision. Decided to become a desktop instead of a laptop. It firmly believed that it didn't really need to charge or read from a charged battery. That and the keyboard was lifting up about a 1/4 inch from the base, oh and did I mention that was the second keyboard? Oh but I think I forgot to say that this PB is 4 months old and has about 30 hours logged on it so far....they called today to tell me it was back from Apple land and its behaving nicely again, I'm thinking about leaving the lil bugger there to teach it a lesson.

ive used both platforms for many years now and i have to say both are full of bugs, unreliable, and un-user friendly... theres nothing to pick between them. as a result my only recomendation is that PC's are cheaper.
you decide :)

2 x Macs at home, Powerbook and a iMac G4 800MHz 15in SuperDrive.
PC at work :(
Prefer Mac - no argument about that.

Mac all the way buddy.

Mac at home, Mac and PC (for MP3:s) at work.
PC:s are'nt really cheaper. Try slap together a quality PC with a 64-bit processor that matches the 2x2.5 G5 and you will see what I mean.
You have a great selection of decent midprice PC:s that can get you along way if you are on a budget though. Apple have no chance in that segment.
I love the Mac but I really don't get what all the fuzz is about. Especially if you are a professional, then the look of the GUI should'nt stand in your way. Almost all the software one could need is available for both platforms.
If I had to start freelancing tomorrow I would go out and buy a PC just so that I can get the job done and not have to take a loan in order to afford the Mac. Of course it would take some time to get used to XP but after all it's the outcome that matters. And I doubt that things made with Illustrator on a PC would look shittier than something out of a Mac.
Ehr, sorry about the rant.
