Jox would probably rack down on me if I mentioned I have a Japanese one in mind.
But for you other guys and girls out there...any experience with the Mitsubishi FTO?

On a purely shallow level, i think its a boy racer.

Thanks guys.
Chip, my man, do you know any good used car dealers in Japan? Im not into spending a fortune here, got some other payments to make. Maybe around 500.000 yen or so. I can go up to a million if the car would justify it.

if you're in japan, get a skyline
- slappy0

don't go with a mitsu....shit will break down. if you're in japan...man you have tons of choices then. pic up a Subaru Impreza 22B if you can find one. things are insane.

the front end on the new WRX is fugly...why they ever lost the round headlights is beyond me.
i'm seriously considering the new Saab 92x...basically its built on a WRX platform, has the same interior but with a much better looking Saab styled front end.

nothing wrong with mitsubishis at all - rugged cars.

New Zealand has the best import scene, stupid australian import rules/taxes
Im go to New Zealand in december to hunt for car goodies.
plus i have a friend competing in the NZD1 drift comp
- blackspade0
tru,
yea there is still a lot of red-tape here tho to get a jap import road worthy
- Peter0
Chip, awesome site, thanks man.
Blackspade, I agree with you, that Porsches looks isn't really appealing.
Basically what I want is something that looks good. I am going to be stuck in the Tokyo traffic anyways, so what I want is the car to look good while in there. Might be shallow perhaps.
Haha, just like the first reply, I want a boy racer.
http://japanusedcar.net/auction/…But actually I've been staring a bit at the Impreza too. Still, looks are pretty much what i am looking for.
Cars are a steal here. Sometimes they nearly give away cars here cause of the Shaken checkups. Pay around 15 dollars for a checkup in the states, but have to pay about 1000 dollars a year here.

Peter, these guys are supposed to be quite good, over in Meguro.
