Anything great happen?
I bought a 6" tall blue sculpted man statue at an art auction!
Artists name is Rodrigo Lara Z. and he lives in Chicago and Mexico.More pics from my apartment as I get them.

got completely hammered. a buddy came in from vegas on tuesday and have been out every night since. the apex of the weekend was a gentlemans club where as luck would have it an ex fling worked. 5 of us spent the night for free in vip not paying for a thing. although i don't remember anything after 2am. the next thing i know it's 8am and we're eating at dennys. good times.
then saturday my buddy got kicked out of the sox game. (i know i opened up a can of worms with that one.) all he said was the mariners right fielder was a homo and someone took offense and got the cops. they very forcefully (too forcefully in my opinion) tossed his ass out. that was the 4th inning. we stayed and watched the game and met him outside by our car. he was passed out in the parking lot. ahh... real good times...
that statue looks pretty cool mg33. 6 feet eh!!! nice visual presence in the pad. cool.

Whirlwind weekend Kona!
That statue is awesome, it was only $110. People at the auction, which was at this really cool west loop loft, didn't know why it wasn't going for 5-6 times that at least.
It's clay, hollow, and all pieces fit at the joints with bolts, it's very utilitarian looking. Very good vein detail.
Probably weighs 200lbs.

sweet man. you got that for a steal! i was actually in that area saturday after the sox game. we stopped for gyros. driving around there i had no idea how many art showcases there were. i'm definetly going to have to go back some weekend.

My boyfriend's family stayed with us over the weekend. That's right--FIVE adults & one child in my tiny one-bedroom NY apartment. But it was a good time anyway. They got a real kick out of Times Square. (They are a cute little bunch of Southerners.) :)

I was sitting on the couch and kept catching it out of the corner of my eye, thinking it was a real person.

i saw the Ataris play at the calgary stampede (yes i know they suck) but was fun anyways. then i went and blew $30 at the stampede casino.

I also saw the band Robbers on High Street on Friday night, really damn good.

Relaxing weekend, nothing too crazy anyway. I'm already pumped for Friday.

oh I was out of the city for the weekend. scuba diving at noon, getting stoned at night on the boat, it was nice fucking tiring but well worth it.
oh I was a little upset when I get back and saw rasko's here_here thread had died so quick.

Lets see, Friday, watched The Birds and an Eames dvd while I worked on a new piece for a summer show; Saturday, watched Home Movie and started work on a new movie site, Margaritas at El Coyote - then stopped by a bar called Footsie's on the way home. Sunday, worked on new piece, worked on new site, watched a James Bond movie, drank a bottle of wine and ordered a Gregory Crewdson exhibition catalog and Essential Actionscript 2 from Amazon. I also at a whole bunch of tomatoes this weekend.

Friday was Fish n' Chips and King Arthur! That was a fun movie. I liked the part where Guenivere tells lancelot that she won't let the Saxons rape him. But even better than the was the killer close up shot of Keira Knightley's thigh... Boi-oi-oi-oing!!!
Saturday went and saw a friend do a short performance at the local Borders books. I had no idea she had such a killer voice. After that was beer and pizza. Lotsa beer! Curve ball is some good brew!
Sunday was quiet. A little shopping in downtown Seattle. Grabbed some coffee at Bauhaus. Then I stayed up til 3am doing homework for art class. I'll probably be doing the same tonight too. Damn my procrastination. NO MORE!!
