Visiting downtown Chicago on Wednesday..any suggestions for good places for drinks, art, good times, etc...

If you want to do the Upscale nice Bar thing in downtown hit up NoMI on the 7th floor of the Park Hyatt at Michigan Ave. and Chicago. then walk down Chicago Ave. 2 blocks and hit up the MCA

clubs? raves? type of music? scene? i could tell you what i like but it may not be what you like nah mean.

i;m 24 into any place that is has a friendly environment. not into the rave scene, or straight up urban. into the rock scene but i like to boogie down.

the city is so diverse you can pretty much find anything you want. It's sometimes hard to make recommendations because of that. I miss it.

for music. metro, double door and the note usually have great bands.
the leg room, the green room, ontourage, crobar, liquid. all cool clubs.
liars club, rednofive and spoon are cool as well.

The green mill for jazz.
The Fireside for punk/rock/metal.go to the loop for fresh stuff like the MCA, and all the galleries.
wicker park for pretention and for people waaaay cooler than you.

Green Mill for jazz - weekday nights are downplayed. It's also near the Lake View Lounge.
And the Signature Lounge on the 97th floor of the Hancock Building for a drink.
