no, it was my fault. a wake-skate is like a wakeboard, but without bindings. like a skateboard or surfboard behind a boat. so when i fell, it just ran over my head.
i guess i could sue myself for that one... haha
i just brought it up because it seems two of us had unpleasant experiences in arizona recently

wow lots of injured but very lucky people here! some of these accidents sound very severe :(
i'm sorry to hear about your accident -leah-, i don't know what the system is like in canada, but it is slow as hell here. sometimes the judge's decision won't come in for 6 months or more! and people are waiting while really hurting.
he does a lot of pro-bono work for people who have lost everything and can't even afford to have someone fight for them. the insurance companies are NOT there to help you, but not having insurance is devastating.

good luck with everything Bozilla, that's one hell of an experience.

Well guys, I really don't think that I should sue this women (or that I even have the case) because I hate hate faking this shit, it just makes me feel like a shithead. I guess I got extremely lucky because she hit me in the right back part of the car and I just went 360, hit that concrete island in the middle of the crossroad and flipped. I was very much aware of what was happening in the car all the time it was happening and I really don't feel any pain or whatever. Of course that doesn't mean that I won't go to the doctor if I feel any pain in the next day or so, but all in all I'm totally ok. And I really felt sorry for the lady. She wasn't drunk, she wasn't like some dirtbag and she was frightened as shit. I guess she didn't see the light and bang. It can basically happen to anyone.

right on bozilla
screw that sue-happy shite

in alberta they put a cap on how much you can get for a soft tissue injury, $4000. in canada as well i don't think you can sue for more than &200,000? we can't sue for millions like in the states, which good in a way.
i am suing because i can't afford treatment much longer and i really do need the money!

with my accident, the pain didn't actually start until a week after i got hit. at firt i thought it was because of weight training in the gym or something but it wasn't a muscle ache like you get after wroking out, it was a deep sore pain that wouldn't go away. i got lucky and it did, but i hear sometimes it takes a few days for stuff like that to surface. you back and neck could have gotten jolted pretty bad and it could take some time to develop problems. better safe than sorry.

i agree...faking is for con-people. she should get a ticket etc. but i don't think she should be personally sued. i was talking about insurance companies, which will inevitably try to settle if they think you are injured.
in any case, just take care of yourself and take special notice of what you might start to feel down the road.

That poor man crossing the road get flattened.

true kona, it can even take months like in my case. i have to take muscle relaxers at night so my neck doesn't seize up and i have to go for massage and physio every two weeks. it totally sucks because i don't know how long i will have to do this for.

has anyone tried acupuncture? i don't know much about it, except that some people say its crap and others swear by it.
has it helped anyone here?

my dad is an acupuncturist. it's done really wonderful things for my entire family.
ex. cured my mom's cancer
yay!

awesome salisea! i have always wanted to try it. i have heard great things. i think it is covered under alberta health care now too so it would be free! :)

i saw a guy do a hail mary prayer before crossing the road the other day.
thought it was strange.
but now i may start doing that as well. that guy had NO warning. well, cept for the red flashing of the crosswalk sign.

that dude in the video lived though. the impact on the suv left a large enough dent in its' side that when it rolled on top of him he wasn't crushed. he was badly injured but as luck would have it he lived to tell the story.
if you read in the text somewhere it says it. or maybe i read it in a diff article. but he did live because of that though.
