Lines per inch question

I have a graphic at 60 lines per inch in illustrator. how do i change that to 41 lines per inch per a clients request?

I didn't think you could control lpi in Illy.... where do you see that it is even 60?

I got a print girl in the office telling me this and i'm just relaying the info. I had no idea what she was talking about but she's hot as hell so I smiled and acted like I knew what she was talking about.

Thats what i thought rasko.. a printing issue. They might not be able to hold really intricate graphics at 41 lpi... maybe that is what they are saying???

I think LPI would be controlled in the PS printer rather than Illustrator.

yeah the actual machine that prints is set to a certain LPI...

most of our 4 color work is ripped at 133 lpi. the higher the lpi the better the quality, but most pressmen don't like to go beyond 133-150.
ask her if she's down with 69 lines per inch :P
