You can do it with javascript and/or Flash if you set you application to tell the browser to give it focus all the time.

well after you write you already have focus if you didn't press the tab or a maniac mouse player :p
I use some kind of intranet system at work that similar to this format not the like. buddy put some keyboard shot which is alt+s I dunno whereisthis coming, anyway it is very easy now.
