some new changes...hopefully you guys will like. It is not complete yet..work in progress. I posted this site a few weeks ago and you guys bashed it badly so we went ahead and redid the changes that were suggested and created a totally new look for our site.
this is a web site about two designers, one a print who is me, elaine and the other is a friend who does mostly web design. we decided to have a company together so here it is...
let me know what you guys think ...please be specific. thanks in advance

very nice! but i am not to sure about your logo... doesn't seam as good as the rest of your site...
- jevad0
specifically, the colors, choice of type, and layout are bad.

hey, your site has some nice transitions and motion. i like the color scheme. the top maybe 100 or so pixels is a bit of a wasted space, but that is just me ya know. also the portfolio section is a bit large at 1500kb+ and i would try and knock it down a bit k size wise. i wasn't sure what the 'play out' meant either. nice use of the imagery. i like it. some fine tuning and i think you're on to something good.
you two are way cute btw. totally off subject but whatever.

now that i am looking a little harder, i don't think you should use a blurry photo like you did in your "bio" section... your home page is definately the strongest part.

The texture behind the logo is weird and doesn't match.. . I'd go super-simple [since you insist on keeping the logo]. The nav text is bad and too bold. Go with pixel text to match the buttons.
Why the stargazer? animations take a long time then you have to wait for 1500k to load for the portfolio [where is it?]
hard to critique nav cos it don't work. no apparent color scheme... seems designed for the sake of design. no concept.
I beleive last time I gave some pretty good advice about making the site actually work around the concept of adapting... where is it??
- Soler0
Oh.. I agree w/ kona too.... you guys are cute
- jevad0
omg kona

'adapt' is mispelt in your logo...
'adaqt'.
I'd be worried if I were a client that you let that happen.
and, spelling 'grafix' like that is very 80's. Even using the word 'graphics' is pretty dated now. Sorry!

thanks guys
the logo has to stay we did that a while ago and have our business cards...and the adaqt it spelled corectly i just flipped the p around for the way i wanted it to look. thanks on the comliments about the way we look guys...
this is still in working progress we are just starting off so if there are more ctits let them go
- jevad0
oh yeah and if you skip quickly between sections you get the last few frames of whatever section you were in before the new section loads up
- josimarX0
Would you tell a client to flip a letter around because you like the way it looks but makes their brand name read incorrectly? I realise you've got your cards done and it's not what you want to hear but that's life. I'd reprint them – I can't imagine the logo looks any worse reversed back the other way, if anything it would balance out the 'd' at the start with a kind of mirror image.

some seriously heavy page loads too. You have to load 900k right off the bat on the splash page, then immediately forced to go through another 500 to 1400k depending on what section you click. The site is pretty much not usable on anything except a good broadband connection.

I would lose the little purple mouse trail thing. Kind of annoying.

I feel as though there are too many transitions and effects. They distract me away from the content.
