Just about anything is better as long as the lead singer doesn't sound like a whiney 17 year old and the lyrics aren't straight out of 1981.

So go ahead, retort again, but this time use logic. Tell me, logically, why they are to be appreciated? Because they've sold a shitload? Because top10 radio plays their shit constantly? They are now "Pop" music, like it or not.
The lyrics are terrible, the music is nothing special, and the lead singers voice is extremely annoying and it sounds like his grabbing his testicles. So what should I respect? Their cool site?

Dude, what music DO YOU like? Maroon 5 is sold band with a solid album and they busted ass to get to where they are. They've been on the road for almost 3 years straight. I think they deserve some respect.
If you even say some bullshit like Radiohead I am gonna just send a virus to your powerbook that smacks you upside your head.
