Windows XP Virus.

I am having a bad day.
Some how my PC got a virus from some where, when it happened I got this tiny little black Bug running all over the screen. rebooted and tried to install Norton Antivirus software to get rid of the virus, No luck.
I have managed to reformat the hard-disk which works fine, but every time I try and install Windows XP it "Freezes".
Any help or advise welcome.

is it monday? lol days have no meaning to professional bums like myself - i found a new jacket in the neighbours bins last nite - its red with blue trim - i like it, its like a 60's game show host in usa :)
