my tibook optical dive is always spitting back out music cd's, blank cd-r when i try to burn. any suggestions or similar problems?

It sounds obvious but have you tried a lens cleaning cd?
My superdrive stopped burning, every source of info said that the error message that was coming up meant my drive was fucked. Went out to but a new one, but though i'd try the lens cleaner first
works fine now. play's the most scratched of cds
