take a look please
notice how "commercial" and "personal" are device fonts..
but when i try to make the inside buttons a device font.. they just disappear.like when you click on "commercial" the first link on there is just set as a device font in flash
i need them to be device font!

I didn't download your fla, but my guess is you're using a mask correct?

and yes.. it is masked on the main stage.. what would be the way to have arial 11pt devicey fonts on there then?

use a bitmap font designed for flash if you want the aliased look, otherwise, embed the font.
...or, don't use a mask and find another way of doing it.

the font nazi says, "no arial for you."
at 10/11 pts aliased, i'm sure you can find a bitmap font that looks quite similair if not the same.

try to use some actionscript intead of tweens and tweens

Try to mask it without using a mask. Just cut out your masking rectangle from a bigger square..
