Before getting deeper into this I'd like to hear your thoughts on both designs.

kinda like comparing apples to oranges...completely different styles. i like both a lot. i think i like how clean the second one is tho. nice kob. save one for something else...

They are both very well executed designs... although they have completely different messages.
It totally depends on what the objective is and what the target market is.
Personally I like th emore edgy one, but it could me th etotally wrong direction.
I think you need direction from the client.

i gotta be honest, i'm not in love with either, but the second by far.

"It totally depends on what the objective is and what the target market is."
The site targets both shopholders and customers.
That's what makes it hard to choose.I like the clean one because it'll give a nice and quick overview of all available collections to shopholders.
But on the other hand the second one wil be more attractive to customers and get them warm to get into the stores.

what everyone else said...

the first one looks teeny and disposable, the other looks a bit more mature and longlasting. yeah what they said..

heh, nice kob...lol

love the first one.

definitely not the pink one.... nav is all over the place...its a nice design for a mag so keep it around... but the other one in beige is real clean...

thanks, leaning more towards the clean one too now.
liquid.. you can click the images you know.

i like #2, too
(scary large moustache on that model)

i like them both, with my personal taste leaning toward the second one.
that said, the first one looks more targeted to the audience that the clothes are targeted at. edgier.

my Q
how can a product have two completely opposite design choices?
ok. i am a twat, i am just curious
(and btw i like both, but it always depend on the target....)

jg.. It's a difficult choice, he aims at shopholders and customers with this one site. Maybe it would be better to split that up.
I would like it to be more edgy but there's 10 collections wich could all be very different at one point and that makes it hard to maintain that certain style I got going on in design1.
Design2 would make it alot easier to cover all different styles of clothes they'll be selling in the future.
Client choses design1, I want to talk him into the second.

yes, sometimes is so difficult....
i would choose the cleaner one!
